Frightday night with the kmfm team

Things certainly did go bump in the night for kmfm’s presenters this Halloween.

On Friday they broadcast live from the 14 Century Black Horse Inn in Pluckley – the most haunted village in the country.

Professional ghost hunters and mediums joined our presenters to tour the kitchen and upstairs rooms, including the Secret Room last searched by the Most Haunted team two years ago.

The pub used to be the old bailiffs and it is said a poltergeist haunts the bar area. Customers and licensees regularly report their belongings disappearing then re-appearing days later.

Kmfm presenter Oli Kemp said: “We experienced more than we thought we would, some incidents could be explained but not all.”

“We had coins thrown, toys thrown, light bulbs smashed, a jug of water moving, a table jumping up and torches going on and off.”

Presenter Vanessa Elms said: “It was absolutely terrifying, but really exciting.

“The scariest bit was in the Secret Room. The table was shaking and it seemed like a man was jumping up and down next to me although no one was there.”

Vanessa said the team were initially quite sceptical but their views changed as the night went on: “I didn’t expect anything like what happened to happen.”
