Three men escaped serious injury when the car they were travelling in overturned and landed on its roof.

Police and ambulance were called to Lonsdale Drive, Rainham, at 1pm on Friday.

By the time emergency services arrived the men had managed to free themselves from the dark blue Ford Fiesta.

The men were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, to be checked over.

The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered. It was re-opened to traffic again at 1.42pm.
