A YOUTH who threatened a pensioner with a knife is being sought by police. The young man approached the 66-year-old man as he was climbing the stairs to his flat in Clements Road, Ramsgate, and made a demand for money.

The thug then pushed his victim to the floor and said that he had a knife. The youth snatched the man’s carrier bag, which contained two pints of milk and a bottle of Scotch, and ran off.

A witness saw the youth fall over and then run off. He is described as white, aged 16-18, 5ft 9ins tall, of small to medium build, and with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coat, dark tracksuit bottoms, trainers and a cap.

Anyone who saw the incident, which happened at 6.30pm on Thursday March 14, is asked to telephone DC Nick Borda on 091843 222035.
