Kent has been battered by thunderstorms and lightning overnight - yet again - with more to come today.

Parts of the county suffered severe storms and heavy showers, with power cuts affecting the north of Kent.

It comes just days after people were injured and homes damaged in severe storms hitting the county.

Now the county is braced for more harsh conditions, with a severe weather warning being slapped on the whole region for today.

Forecasters say the warning, for rain, will see very heavy and thundery showers today - although generally it will feel warm with light winds.

Tonight there will be heavy, and sometimes thundery, showers, but gradually becoming dry.
