POLICE investigating the theft of around 1,000 roof tiles from the front garden of a Kent house are appealing for the public's help.

The slate tiles, which are worth around £3,000, were stolen overnight Thursday to Friday last week from a property in London Road, Dunton Green, near Sevenoaks.

Police say a vehicle would have been required to remove the tiles and it would have taken some time to load them.
