Security staff at Kings Hill have called time on travellers who set up camp outside the offices of posh watchmakers Rolex.

Travellers clashed with security staff near the Rolex site in Jubilee Way, Kings Hill, on Tuesday.

Security firm Precreate Solutions has been brought in to oversee the eviction and make sure no further travellers get onto the four acre site, which is right next to the Rolex.

It is believed travellers first turned up with 25 caravans on Friday August 6, but nine left after being warned by security staff.

Scenes are said to have turned ugly when 20 other caravans arrived at around 5pm and allegedly tried to forcibly gain access to the site.

Security staff are carrying out around the clock mobile patrols, have put dog units in place and built a roadblock at the entrance to the travellers' camp.

They are allowing cars and pedestrians access but no further caravans will be allowed through.

Police confirmed a group of travellers had moved onto land at Jubilee Way and that landowners had put their own security arrangements in place.

They confirmed a disturbance involving security and "people trying to access the site" had taken place on Tuesday, and that travellers had been ordered to leave on Wednesday.

They say they have been liaising with the landowners since the arrival of the caravans and neighbourhood officers have monitored the site on a regular basis.

At its busiest there were approximately 30 vehicles - cars and caravans together - on the site, which had reduced to six caravans on Thursday.
