Tom Dallas admitted he was left bored by American opponent Zack Page after completing a 15th straight professional victory, at Medway Park on Friday night.

A frustrating evening for the Chatham boxer – performing in front of the cameras on a show screened live by Sky Sports – ended in victory but it was a fight he’ll want to forget.

He said: "It’s a win and so I am pleased with that but I am just a bit disappointed with the performance.

"He was a lot lighter than me and he was too quick. He was always on the back foot and I knew he would be. I just got frustrated with him.

"In about the fifth round Mark Roe (manager) said ‘how do you feel?’ and I said I was bored. I couldn’t wait for the fight to be over.

"I was fed up as I couldn’t hit him and I just wanted it to end. You try and hit someone who doesn’t want to get hit and it’s impossible. You are trying to throw shots and they are moving and I couldn’t get my shots going."

Just three people have beaten Page inside the distance in seven years and Dallas could see why.

"I won’t take anymore of those fights because I would rather fight someone a bit heavier who wants to come in and have a bit of a fight," he said.

"I knew he would be awkward because he doesn’t get stopped. What he does is survive and that’s why I suppose they brought him over to give me the eight rounds.

"I will have to look back on it but I would give myself four out of 10, I was a bit fed up with it. At the end of the night I got the win though and that’s all that matters."
