A yellow weather warning has been issued across Kent and the south of England.

The Met Office has warned heavy rainfall could lead to flooding in some areas ahead of Christmas Eve.

Forecasters predict the heavy rain will hit the county between the morning of Wednesday, December 23 and Thursday, December 24.

There is a small chance of homes and businesses being flooded as well as hazardous conditions developing for commuters.

For those in higher flood risk areas, it is recommended that you prepare a bag of insurance documents and items like medicines just in case and keep an eye out for any escalation in flood warnings.
