Two accidents caused traffic chaos for Medway drivers on Wednesday.

Both took place at separate locations within minutes of each other adding to the usual rush hour congestion.

The first accident happened at 8.10am on the Maidstone bound carriageway of the A229 at Blue Bell Hill.

Three vehicles were involved with police part closing the stretch of dual carriageway. The road was re-opened around 20 minutes later with no serious injuries reported.

In the second accident two cars collided in Dock Road, Chatham, at the junction of Globe Lane shortly after 8am.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries. The road was partially blocked for about 40 minutes.
