He lived with his family at Tudor Heights, Tudor farm in Upper Stoke, until he moved to his own home in Allhallows three years ago.

Last year his partner Claire Langford and her seven-year-old daughter River moved in with him.

He was also a godfather to his sister Holly's son Jacob, and was due to become godfather to her second child Olivia this weekend.

Her christening is still going ahead and the family say the vicar will still be including Jon in the service, as a tribute to him.

His mum Tracey said: "Jon will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

"He was brought up in Hoo village and went to school there, before moving on to the Hundred of Hoo School.

"Jon loved his fishing; it wasn't just a hobby but a passion and was a big part of his life."

The family say they have been overwhelmed by the amount of support they have received since his death.

Tracey added: "The loyalty and the love all of his friends have shown has been overwhelming.

"So far there have been 65 bouquets of flowers left for him and the cards are piling up.

"Everyone remembers his smile and so many people have said that they remember how Jon made everyone feel better about themselves.

"We are so grateful for the flowers and the kind words people have said about Jon, they have helped us to get through it because it shows how much he was loved."

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation unit on 01622 798 538.
