There were travel delays this morning after Kent was battered by Storm Aileen overnight.

Two lanes were closed on the QE2 bridge heading into Kent from Essex although they reopened just after 6.30am.

There were also delays of up to two hours on DFDS Seaways and P&O ferry services between Dover and Calais due to high winds.

Elsewhere, Southern train services were suspended between Redhill and Tonbridge due to a fallen tree. The line has since reopened.
