A POLITICAL thriller shot entirely on location in Kent is sceened tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Cape Wrath, an eight-part series, was filmed around Leybourne Lakes and Kings Hill, near West Mallling. It stars David Morrissey, who appeared in Blackpool and Basic Instinct 2.

With his family he has moved to a fictional place called Meadowlands on a witness protection programme. All is not as it seems in the idyllic town. So, dark secrets begin to surface, plunging the family into a world of paranoia and conspiracy.

The production, helped by the Kent Film Office, an arm of Kent County Council, was based at the Maidstone Studios. During filming, its crew injected £2.5 million into the Kent economy and also helped create about 35 local jobs.
