Twenty jobs created at new Strood store

Supermarket chain, Netto, has invested £4 million into a new store on High Street, Strood creating up to 20 jobs.

The store is Netto’s third in Kent and will have a sales area of over 10,400ft² and will stock around 1,400 core lines - a third of which are famous name brands.

The supermarket will officially open its doors at 8:30am on Thursday, November 20 with live entertainment from a DJ , Bubbles the Clown and his sidekick Scotty the Dog, the Netto Prize Pod - a chance to win up to £250 shopping vouchers - free refreshments and balloons.

Netto’s marketing manager, Mike Hinchcliffe, said: “This latest Netto supermarket represents another significant retail investment for Kent, particularly for the people of Strood, and brings Netto’s UK store total to 193.
