Two car smash in Sheerness

Police accident

A main road was closed for an hour after a two car-crash.

It happened outside Thamesteel in Brielle Way, Sheerness, at 8.20pm yesterday.

A VW Passat and a Ford Focus were involved.

There were no serious injuries, but some people were treated at the scene for shock. It is thought one car had a mother and child inside.

There were also another two adults and a child involved. Police, ambulance and fire crews were called.

Firefighters from Sheppey made the scene safe as fluid had leaked onto the road from one of the cars.

The road was closed from its junction with Bridge Road for an hour.

Traffic was diverted through Halfway.
