A cash machine was stolen from Brands Hatch race circuit

Two men have been arrested after a cash machine was stolen from Brands Hatch race circuit early today.

The pair are being held on suspicion of theft after the raid late last night.

A stand-alone cash machine was stolen at just before midnight and loaded into a van.

It is not known how much cash was taken.

The men - a 37-year-old from Gravesend and a 40-year-old homeless man - were arrested in the car park of a hotel in Haven Court Road, Gravesend.

A van, believed to have been stolen, was also recovered along with the cash machine.

They are being held at Medway police station and are due to be interviewed later today.
