The memorial plaques were stolen from Hawkinge Crematorium

Two men have been charged after more than 120 brass plaques were stolen from Hawkinge Crematorium.

As many as 123 plaques were taken from a memorial wall in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium, near Folkestone.

The theft happened at the crematorium, near Folkestone, between Monday and Tuesday.

Sean Hiscock, 21, is charged with theft and 33-year-old Darren Iles is accused of handling stolen goods.

The pair, both of Densole Way, Densole, were due before Canterbury magistrates today.
