Two people have been rescued from a house fire.

Crews from Medway fire station were called to semi-detached two-storey property in Lordswood Lane, Lordswood, shortly after 5pm.

The ground floor of the building was well alight.

They rescued a man and a woman from inside before tackling the flames.

Both people were treated at the scene by paramedics.
