An American Bulldog

A drug farm caretaker's vicious dog savaged three men and another pet, a court heard.

Neil Sookoo will now be punished for letting the dangerous American Bulldog loose.

Sookoo, of Kirby Road, Dartford, appeared yesterday at Medway Magistrates' Court via a video link.

The 35-year-old had been charged with three counts of having a dog dangerously out of control.

He was also accused of cannabis production after police arresting him found him in a small cannabis factory.

Sookoo, who said he was looking after the drugs, admitted all four offences.

Magistrates heard how at 1pm on February 11 Sookoo was unable to control his dog when it attacked a golden retriever on East Hill, Dartford.

The dog needed veterinary care for its injuries.

Then, at 5.50pm on February 15 in an alleyway off East Hill the same dog launched an unprovoked attack on a man.

The victim was bitten on the hands, arms and thigh and had to kick out at the dog to try and get it to stop.

Eventually Sookoo grabbed the dog by the collar to control it.

In the final incident, at 8pm on March 1 in Great Queen Street, Dartford, a man saw Sookoo with a large dog.

The dog ran up to him and bit into his wrist. The victim tried to fight off the dog by grabbing its collar and was helped by a second man.

The dog was restrained while police were called but it got free again and attacked the second man.

Both men suffered numerous bites and puncture wounds on their legs, hands and arms.

The dog, a very large brown and white-coloured American Bulldog, was seized and is currently in kennels.

Sookoo was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court for sentencing.
