A PENSIONER killed in an horrific accident in Strood High Street last week has been named by police.

Jeanne Widdrington, 76, from Strood, died after being struck by a lorry carrying two diggers.

The accident happened at about 11.20am last Tuesday in front of shoppers and horrified onlookers.

Mrs Widdrington was pronounced dead at the scene. The high street was closed for several hours.
