A 38-year-old man who was shot outside his home last week has been discharged from hospital.

The victim, who has not been named by police, underwent surgery after being shot in the leg last Tuesday night.

He had been returning to his flat in Craig House, in Wilson avenue, Rochester, when he was approached by another man wielding a gun.

A spokesperson for Medway Police said: The man's condition is described as satisfactory."
