Ecowarrior Peter Le Mare sails into Ramsgate

An ecowarrior from Cornwall has brought his message to Kent after sailing into Ramsgate's Royal Harbour.

Veteran activist Peter Le Mare set off from Penzance last week on an epic voyage that will take him to the week-long climate change camp on the Hoo Peninsula.

After joining protesters near the Kingsnorth Power Station, he then plans to sail up the River Thames to deliver a message of peace to central London.

Peter and his crew are travelling on a 22ft sailing yacht called Be Disarming and have been handing out leaflets at coastal ports along the south coast.
