the World Cup

Kent's supermarkets are expecting sales to surge as we start
stocking up on World Cup goodies.

Managers at Asda in Chatham say they are expecting beer to fly
off the shelves at twice the normal rate over the next few
weeks.

And there is also a host of England-themed merchandise -
with the St George's Cross plastered across everything from paper
plates to garden gnomes.
