Renewed hope: Ambrose Dighton (right) says both psychics insist his son Ashley (left) was not killed in the woodland where his body was discovered

The family of a murdered Kent teenager are hoping for a breakthrough in the hunt for his killer after two clairvoyants provided them with new information.

Both claim to have had contact with 19-year-old Ashley Dighton's spirit.

Ashley’s father Ambrose Dighton has spent 18 months appealing for information. He said he now has renewed hope after speaking independently with the psychics.

He paid £45 for a sitting with former Metropolitan Police officer Keith Charles, who is known in spiritualist circles as the psychic cop, after reading about him helping to solve murders in America, Canada and Britain.

He has also spoken in depth with 22-year-old clairvoyant Leoni Hukins, from South Ashford, after she told him she is regularly in contact with Ashley, a former school friend.

She said: "I have been getting flashbacks and having dreams about [Ashley's] murder. He comes to me to explain what happened and the pictures are vivid."

Although unknown to each other, Mr Dighton says both psychics are adamant Ashley was not killed in woodland behind the Ashford Sainsbury’s store where his body was found.

Mr Dighton said: "Keith Charles told me many things about myself he could not have known as they were things only close family were aware of."

A Kent Police spokesman said: "The investigation into the death of Ashley Dighton continues and Kent Police will consider all new information carefully and sensitively."
