Weasel

Staff at a Kent wildlife park are bringing in a little red loverman to be a super stud with the ladies - but is he up to the job?

Sleek Studley the well-groomed weasel is the newest resident at Wildwood in Herne Bay after he was brought in to charm the furrier sex.

He's tall, dark and handsome, weighing in at 120g and is 21cm long with dark red fur. And, yes ladies, he's single.

Studley was loaned to the conservation centre by the British Wildlife Trust in the hope he'll get it on.

Keepers are hand-rearing him and will keep a close eye on the cute little fella over the next few months.

Should he succeed in his mission, some of the offspring will return to the British Wildlife Centre, while the rest will be kept by Wildwood to expand their weasel population.

The centre features animals which used to run wild in Britain, such as wolves, beavers, red squirrels and wild boars.

Senior keeper Karen Price said: “Studley is just getting used to his new enclosure and a new mate.

“They are getting on fine and it will be good to have the patter of very small feet later in the year."
