Kent is braced for heavy snow this weekend after the Met Office issued a severe weather warning.

Forecasters said today people in the county should "be aware" of the possibility of snow on Sunday.

Even the Isle of Sheppey's very own weather oracle has forecast a covering of snow by the weekend.

Darren Prescott monitors the weather from a station at his home in Bay View and says the outlook for the next few days is a wintry one.

He predicted it would start feeling colder tomorrow afternoon and there will be sleety showers.

Darren's weather report also said there will be snow flurries on and off on Friday a covering of snow is likely by Saturday.
