Sally Parry will be pretty in pink when she appears on Channel 4 hit show Come Dine With Me this week.

The 40-year-old dressed to impress for the tongue-in-cheek programme, which sees people having their cooking skills judged by strangers.

Dog lover Sally was the fourth of five contestants to host a dinner party in Kent, serving up a pink-themed night at her house in Egbert Road, Faversham.

It was an impressive feat for the self-confessed Come Dine With Me addict, who had four days to prepare before filming.

She said: “I’m addicted to the show and have always wanted to take part, but I was actually in Turkey when they said I’d made it.
“It meant I only had four days to get ready when I got back.
“We were having a new kitchen fitted so the house was like a building site.
“I spent the whole time cleaning and hurrying them up.”

The first three dinner parties took Sally to Gillingham, Headcorn and Fordwich, experiencing a science-themed evening, pan-European cuisine and Glamtastic night.

She said: “I was a bit shy at first because they were all intellectual types, but I started to come out of my shell on the Tuesday.
“It was such good fun.”

Self-confessed 'girly-girl’ Sally opted for a pink-themed night for her party, making sure everyone was dressed in her favourite colour.

Even the food – inspired by the chef at the Three Mariners pub – was pink.

She said: “The chef Danny was brilliant and gave me some ideas.
“He even offered to cook it for me, but I said that would be cheating.”

Sally received some rave reviews after serving up a potted salmon starter, fillet steaks from Brogdale butchers and a surprise dessert of edible glitter.

She even provided entertainment with a salsa dancer from Canterbury putting on a show.

She said: “It was such an amazing night."

Find out how Sally gets on from today until Friday, at 5.30pm on Channel 4.
