Lostprophets will be the latest top-rated band to appear at Margate Winter Gardens when they take to the stage on Tuesday (February 9).

The band promise an electrifying show after highly-rated performances headlining the Radio 1/NME stage at the Reading and Leeds Festivals and a Q Awards show at the Forum.

The band released their fourth album The Betrayed in January which includes the top 20 single It's Not The End of The World, But I Can See It From Here.

Guitarist Mike Lewis, frontman Ian Watkins, Lee Gaze (guitar), Stuart Richardson (bass), Jamie Oliver (keyboards, programming) and new drummer Luke Johnson recorded in several locations and studios in Los Angeles, with a few false starts where the band scrapped various recordings with different producers.

Eventually, a trip back to their native Wales and original rehearsal rooms in Cardiff saw the group re-invigorated and energised and on their return to the US things came together quickly.

Bassist Stuart took on production and mixing duties (alongside Justin Hopfer with whom he'd previously worked with on Welsh rock act Attack Attack) for the first time, and the band believe they have created their most ambitious and accomplished album to date.

Contact Margate Winter Gardens box office or telephone 01843 296111. Tickets cost £22.50 plus a service charge.
