Witness appeal after street attack

POLICE are trying to trace two members of the public who intervened during an assault on a teenager in a Kent town.

A 17-year-old boy was injured at Tower Parade, Whistable, last Wednesday at 11.30pm, and needed hospital treatment for cuts to his head.

Police have arrested a 47-year-old Whitstable man in connection with the attack.

He has been interviewed and released on bail until February 18 while further inquiries are carried out.
