Woman cut free after three cars and a bus block road

The road between Canterbury and Whitstable was closed when three cars were involved in an accident in Pean Hill.

Police were called at about 11am Friday after a Peugeot, Toyota and Jaguar were in collision, blocking the road.

The woman driver of the Jaguar was cut free from the car by firefighters from Canterbury and the male driver of the Peugeot was helped from his vehicle.

No one was seriously hurt.

A double-decker bus which arrived on the scene just minutes after the accident tried to do a three-point turn and grounded his vehicle.

Another bus was called to take the 15 passengers away. The road was reopened at 1.30pm. Firefighters also dealt with a fuel spillage.
