Woman dies after being pulled from pond at Edenbridge

A woman who was pulled from an icy pond by a good samaritan has died in hospital.

Police were called to Station Road, Edenbridge shortly after 11:50am today when a woman in her mid 50s was dragged from the pond.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene, and she was then taken to Redhill Hospital by air ambulance, where she later died.

Police are trying to find out how it happened, but are not treating the incident as suspicious.
