Woman hurt in fatal bike crash 'stable'

A WOMAN seriously injured in a motorcycle crash that killed the rider is in a stable condition in hospital.

Nigel Simmonds, 47, of Walnut Tree Farm, Otterden, died when his bike crashed on the A28 at Godmersham on Saturday, April 7.

His pillion passenger who has not been named, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "She's still in hospital, and although she is stable, she is expected to remain there for some time."
