A BUSY Medway road was closed for two hours today following an accident.

Police shut Dock Road, Chatham, shortly before 1pm after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

A woman was taken to hospital with suspected leg injuries. The road was reopened shortly before 3pm.

The Medway Tunnel was also closed this afternoon after a collision between two cars.

The accident happened shortly before 2pm. No injuries have been reported.
