Accident

Two young children were injured when they were hit by a car in Rainham.

Police were called to Orchard Street, outside St Margaret's Junior School, just after 9am this morning.

A three-year-old girl and a one-year-old girl, in a buggy, were hurt.

The one-year-old is reported to have suffered a bump to her head, but a South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said neither child suffered serious injuries.
