AROUND £2000 in prize money is at stake in three separate pool competitions at Chatham Pool & Snooker Club this weekend.

The Rochester Open and the Kent Open take place on Saturday and Sunday while a special Pro-am tournament is being held today, with £800 on offer for the winner.

With some of the best players in the game are expected to play in the three competitions, event organiser Les Church insists it’s a tournament that shouldn't be missed.

He said: “The club is open to everyone, with free membership for the weekend. They can come along to watch some of the top professionals in the game or they can join in.
