Bromley seek to strengthen squad

Mark Goldberg

Bromley v Chelmsford

Bromley manager Mark Goldberg hopes to bolster his injury-ravaged squad with two new signings in time for tonight's home game against second-placed Chelmsford in Blue Square South at Hayes Lane.

With seven players missing Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Worcester, Goldberg urgently needs new faces but admitted he was far from happy with the work ethic shown by some of his players.

He said: "Providing there are no snags, I would expect to have a new central midfielder and a left-sided midfielder in the side to face Chelmsford. I don't like using injuries as an excuse but with seven players missing we're down to the bare bones.

"What's inexcusable is a lack of work ethic which I felt we suffered from against Worcester and I don't want to see that again. Once we get our injured players back I believe we will be in the mix again.

"In the meantime we must grind out results."
