Browning may be off to Rushden

Marcus Browning could be heading out of Priestfield to Division 3 Rushden and Diamonds.

The out of contract midfielder missed last night's Gillingham friendly at Windsor and Eton in favour of playing for Rushden in a friendly at Bishops Stortford.

Guy Ipoua scored twice for Gills at Windsor with Mark Saunders, Ben White and Paul Shaw completing the scoring in a 5-2 success.

Gills play their third pre-season friendly in as many days tonight against Dover at Crabble where player-manager Andy Hessenthaler is expected to field another strong squad.

Many Gillingham supporters were among the mourners at yesterday's funeral of staunch supporter Harry Cackett at Medway Crematorium. Mr Cackett, who died on July 13, was a season ticket holder.
