CARRUTHERS: returns after suspension

Welling v Havant & Waterlooville

WELLING welcome back Matt Carruthers from suspension as they entertain second-placed Havant & Waterlooville this Tuesday night.

The Wings can close the gap on the top two after dropping points at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday and Carruthers' return should boost their attacking options.

Manager Adrian Pennock is expecting a positive response from his team, who know that they did not perform well last time out.

"I wouldn't say if we lose that it's the end of our season but it's a massive game," said Pennock.

"If we can stay in that pack until after Christmas then it will make things interesting."

Midfielder Rob Owen faces a late fitness test on a back injury.
