CHARLTON midfielder Bryan Hughes retains his place in the starting line-up for the visit of former club Birmingham to The Valley this afternoon.

Hughes, scorer of two goals during the 4-1 win over Rochdale last Saturday, lines up in the middle of the park alongside Matt Holland and Danny Murphy.

Striker Shaun Bartlett has recovered from a calf injury and is brought back into the side.

Dennis Rommedahl also returns on the right flank in place of Jonatan Johnasson.
