Last season's Kent Premier League champions Bromley will have Darren Stevens playing for them this time around

KENT County Cricket Club have introduced a new draft pick system to allocate their professional players to Kent Premier League clubs for the 2007 season.

The new scheme follows discussions between the county club and Kent League officials held at Gore Court Cricket Club near Sittingbourne.

Each of the 10 KPL teams represented at the meeting were allowed a first choice pick from Kent’s 14-man list.

The two newly promoted sides Broadstairs and Lordswood were given the first two choices and the other picks went in reverse order to last season’s league placings, right down to 2006 KPL champions Bromley, who were given final choice.

Bickley Park: Robbie Joseph and Martin van Jaarsveld
Sevenoaks Vine: Simon Cook
Blackheath: Martin Saggers
Gore Court: Ryan McLaren
Beckenham: Rob Key
