Chris Dickson has impressed during his loan spell with Gillingham

CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew has ruled out the possibility of striker Chris Dickson making a permanent move to Gillingham.

The Plumstead-born 22-year-old scored his eighth goal in 10 games for Gillingham in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Yeovil.

Dickson's loan spell will be extended for a third and final month - the maximum the Gills can retain him for - following Saturday's game with Hartlepool.

Pardew said: “Chris is in his final spell on loan with Gillingham and after that he will be returning to Charlton.

“I’m delighted he’s done so well at Gillingham and scored so many goals. I sent him to Gillingham to gain experience and he’s got plenty under his belt.”

In March, Charlton paid Ryman League Dulwich Hamlet £35,000 down for Dickson, rising to £60,000 on appearances. While with Hamlet he scored 31 goals in 35 appearances.
