Double test against strugglers for Mos

INVICTA DYNAMOS have a double header this weekend against two of the lowlier teams in the English National Ice Hockey League.

On Saturday, they travel to Lee Valley Lions, before returning to the Ice Bowl the following day for a home fixture against Bracknell Hornets. Face-off is at 5.15pm.

Grant Baxter, an ever-present so far this season, said: "We will be expecting two wins, but you can never take anyone lightly."

Meanwhile, a weakended Mos line-up survived a poor rink and awkward opposition to continue their title challenge last weekend.

A mixture of injury and work commitments deprived the Mos of regulars Anthony Lennon, Andy Smith, Peter Korff and Jamie Smith last Saturday but they still returned from bottom-of-the-table side Romford Spitfires with an 8-3 victory – their 10th win in 11 games.

Baxter added: "We didn’t play our normal game. We are used to playing teams with a bit more skill and they were doing some very unorthodox things on the ice, so in a way they brought us down to their level."
