THE Invicta Dynamos roster continued to take shape after a further eight players signed up for the club's 2007-08 campaign.

Fans' favourite Anthony Leone and defenceman Damien Welch have been named assistant captains after pledging their commitment to the Mos for another season.

Canadian Alex Shaw – one of last season's assistant captains – is set to resume his defensive partnership with Welch after signing a new contract.

Netminder Ian Rowlands is also back, while centreman James Fraser, who rotated between the Dynamos and the club's under-19s side last season, will have his first year as a full-time Dynamo.

Forwards Peter Carey, Kevin Lake and Matt Drake are also confirmed returnees.

Coach Kevin Parrish said his new choice of assistant captains was not a reflection on the previous incumbents, Shaw and Anthony Lennon.

He said: "Neither Alex nor Anthony did anything wrong last season. I just wanted to change things round and it will allow them to concentrate on their own games."
