Former Gillingham midfielder Craig Stone is one of two players signed by Ebbsfleet United.

Boss Liam Daish has also swooped for defender Darius Charles, who joins the club on loan from Brentford.

Stone, 19, was released by the Gills this summer. He has signed a one-year contract at Stonebridge Road and is a possible replacement for Michael Bostwick who has signed for Stevenage.

Charles, a 20-year-old centre-back who can also play as a left-back and on the wing, impressed during a nine-game spell at the Fleet at the end of last season.

He joins on a season-long loan deal.
