STRIKER Delroy Facey believes the Gillingham squad is at last beginning to gel.

Facey was one of a host of new faces brought in by former boss Ronnie Jepson over the summer.

In the last two games, the Gills not only became the first team to take a point off Leeds, they also toppled League One leaders Leyton Orient, who had previously won all their four away games.

Facey said: "It has taken a bit of time to adapt to each other. What people are failing to realise is that we are only eight or nine games into a new season.

"We are now finding out each other's styles of play, and it's starting to show on the pitch."
