Huddersfield Town 2 Charlton Athletic 1

Published: 10:54, 18 September 2013

Charlton are still looking for their first away win of the season after going down to defeat at Huddersfield on Tuesday night.

The first half was low on chances. Simon Church headed one effort straight at Terriers keeper Alex Smithies just before the break.

But it was Huddersfield who took the lead on the stroke of half-time, Adam Hammill setting up James Vaughan to score.

Charlton fell further behind to a superb 35-yard strike from Joel Lynch on 65 minutes.

They pulled a goal back with 11 minutes left, though, Cameron Stewart firing in via the underside of the crossbar.

But Chris Powell's side couldn't conjure up an equaliser and they sit just a point above the Championship drop zone after six games.
