Gillingham reserves suffered a 3-1 defeat against Lewes in their opening Football Combination Central Division match on Wednesday.

Tom Lyons scored a hat-trick for the home side while a trialist who is known only as Ben scored Gillingham's consolation.

Nicky Southall was included in the squad while Dutch trialist Tonnie Cusell also featured.
