Mark McCammon sees red against Aldershot

Gillingham have decided to appeal against the red card handed out to striker Mark McCammon on Saturday.

The striker was sent off for a challenge on keeper Nikki Bull just 13 minutes into the game at Aldershot.

Referee Graham Scott had no hesitation in giving McCammon his marching orders but Gills manager Mark Stimson felt the decision was wrong.

“I don’t think there was any intent, it’s just not in his game,” said Stimson.

The FA will announce their decision some time tomorrow (Tuesday).
