Half-term soccer courses for youngsters

YOUNGSTERS in Kent will be able to brush up on their soccer skills with help from Arsenal during this month's half term holiday.

Grass Roots Soccer Schools team up with the Premiership pacemakers to run courses for five to 14-year-olds. Courses range from two to four days and are split into two sessions.

Basic skills, such as passing, shooting and ball control, are practised in the mornings with youngsters split into age groups to play mini tournaments in the afternoon.

Courses available include:

* Potters Mede Recreation Ground, Maidstone Road, Borough Green, between Monday and Thursday, October 27 to 30.

* Maidstone YMCA, off Cripple Street, Maidstone, between Monday and Wednesday, October 27 to 29.

* Putlands Sports and Leisure Centre, Mascalls Court Road, Paddock Wood, on Thursday and Friday, October 30 and 31.

Four other courses will be held in the same week in Cobham, New Ash Green, Sevenoaks and West Wickham.
