Hawkins' championship hopes at an end

KENT'S Barry Hawkins bowed out of the UK Championship in Telford on Tuesday after losing 9-8 to Jamie Cope.
The world number 19, from Dartford, had produced an impressive comeback in the previous round on Monday when he came back from 8-3 down to beat Ali Carter 9-8.
But he was unable overcome Cope who has already knocked out world champion John Higgins and now faces Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarter-finals.
