MARCH will be a busy month for Kent snooker player Gerard Greene - but it could be a profitable one.

First, he will face a whirlwind in Torquay when he takes on Jimmy White in the first round of the European Open, starting on March 11.

Then Greene, who has moved up from 63 to 46 in the provisional rankings, will face Anthony Hamilton on March 19 in a final qualifying match for the World Championships at The Crucible.

Greene, from Rainham, then faces Aussie Quinten Hann in Dublin in the first round of the CityWest Irish Masters starting on March 25.

Greene said: "I've been playing well and I feel confident whoever I’m against. “I've never played Jimmy before. It’s going to be a great experience.
